ta broszura opracowana przez stowarzyszonych Studentów Uniwersytetu Hawajskiego przedstawia wsparcie studentów dla hawajskiej państwowości. Zawiera powody do państwowości ze strony studentów i pracowników Uniwersytetu Hawajskiego, a także wielu amerykańskich osobistości publicznych. Został on dołączony jako część petycji wysłanej przez studentów Uniwersytetu Hawajskiego do przedstawiciela Hugh Petersona (d-GA), ówczesnego przewodniczącego House Committee on Territories. Broszura nosi tytuł ” Hawaje: 49. Stan”, ponieważ Alaska nie weszła jeszcze do Unii.
